New! Tanzania Geisha

This coffee is so fun! Introducing our new Neel & Kavita Tanzania Geisha Natural. That is what our team had to say when cupping this vibrant and velvety coffee that is bursting with unique tasting notes including cherry limeade, cranapple, rose jam, jasmine, raspberry, sweet tarts, and peach. If you loved our Acacia Hills Tanzania Geisha, and/or if you love a fruity natural process coffee, and/or if you love the flowery Geisha profile, this fun and fruity coffee is for you! We highly recommend snagging a bag while supplies last.

Our importers at Royal coffee say this lot stands out as the highest quality coffee they have ever offered by the Vahora family (and they’ve produced great coffee) and we can see why. Grown by the brother and sister team Neel & Kavita Vohora on their Gaia farm in northern Tanzania, this microlot is a fermented natural Geisha. The first step in processing is assuring only red ripe cherries are harvested. The coffee was then macerated in whole cherry on raised beds under protective tarps for four days prior to completing a nearly 4-week drying process on raised beds in whole cherry. Once finished, the dried coffee was stored in GrainPro until it was milled and shipped. Couple a coveted coffee variety with the Tanzanian terroir, along with meticulous growing and processing techniques, and the result is a stunner.

Learn more about JBC, six time Good Food Award winners and named one of the best coffee roasters in the U.S. by Forbes and Gear Patrol with over 340 90 plus rated coffees at the Coffee Review. The Chicago Tribune called JBC one of Wisconsin’s standout roasters and the Daily Meal said our espresso will elevate your mornings. We are focused on quality-driven, sustainable coffees.

Unparalleled quality, a human story, and sustainability – that’s our coffee philosophy.

  • Unparalleled quality. We won’t buy a coffee unless we know that it will inspire you.
  • A human story. Often times a producer’s story gets lost in the coffee supply chain. It’s our focus to provide a seed to cup experience, honoring everyone involved.
  • Sustainability. We purchase sustainable coffees directly from producers and through brokers who share our goal of making coffee a sustainable commodity. Financially and environmentally, the coffees we purchase seek balance.
