New Coffee! Gititu Kenya

best Kenya coffee

Get the best Kenya coffee from JBC! Our Gititu Kenya is a lovely example of a jammy, sweet, and cranberry-laden microlot with gratifying kicks of apple, pear, and chocolate. This delicious coffee boasts tasting notes of cranberry apple crisp, pear compote, dark chocolate, muscovado sugar, and pink grapefruit. If you love the classic Kenya profile with a crisp citrus kick and notable sweetness, this plush coffee is for you. Our cupping team highly recommends snagging a bag or two while supplies last!

Farm Level Info. This coffee hails from smallholder farmers located near the Gititu Coffee Factory in one of Kenya’s most prolific coffee growing regions. Farmers here live in the shadows of the majestic Mt. Kenya and Aberdare Ranges where volcanic soil and ideal temperatures abound to create regal cups of coffee with unique character and a pleasing sweetness. Around 800 farmers, who average about 300 coffee trees on each of their farms, deliver ripe coffee cherry to Gititu where microlots are then isolated out based on exceptional cup value.

Unparalleled quality, a human story, and sustainability – that’s our coffee philosophy.

  • Unparalleled quality. We won’t buy a coffee unless we know that it will inspire you.
  • A human story. Often times a producer’s story gets lost in the coffee supply chain. It’s our focus to provide a seed to cup experience, honoring everyone involved.
  • Sustainability. We purchase sustainable coffees directly from producers and through brokers who share our goal of making coffee a sustainable commodity. Financially and environmentally, the coffees we purchase seek balance.
