New! Meru Gichugene Kenya

Another stunner of a coffee that is winey, syrupy, and classically Kenyan but with some unique twists! Our new Meru Gichugene Kenya is a berry-forward (think sweet raspberry) coffee with a gratifying blueberry citrus kick. This delicious microlot boasts tasting notes of blueberry lemonade, gingersnaps, candied raspberry, and dark chocolate. If you love the classic Kenya profile with some unique lemon, ginger and blueberry pops, this coffee is for you. Our cupping team highly recommends snagging a bag or two while supplies last!

Farm Level Info. This coffee hails from smallholder farmers located near the Gichugene Coffee Factory in central Kenya. The Gichugene Coffee Factory is a wet mill located in Meru County with a reputation for producing top-notch AA grade coffee. Located on the eastern slopes of Mt. Kenya, the 723 smallholder farmers contributing to this washing station benefit from nutrient-rich volcanic soil and an ideal climate conducive to producing high quality Kenya microlots.

Unparalleled quality, a human story, and sustainability – that’s our coffee philosophy.

  • Unparalleled quality. We won’t buy a coffee unless we know that it will inspire you.
  • A human story. Often times a producer’s story gets lost in the coffee supply chain. It’s our focus to provide a seed to cup experience, honoring everyone involved.
  • Sustainability. We purchase sustainable coffees directly from producers and through brokers who share our goal of making coffee a sustainable commodity. Financially and environmentally, the coffees we purchase seek balance.
