New Coffee! El Diviso Anaerobic Java
This coffee is what we would describe as a picture of elegance. Introducing our
El Diviso Java-an anaerobic coffee from a young, up and coming coffee growing team in south western Colombia. It boasts desirable tropical and red fruit notes, along with a super pleasing sweet mint, thyme-like note. We tasted lychee, rose, Froot Loops, thyme, mint, lemongrass, jasmine, bergamot, rosemary and more. Our cuppers called this coffee “so very pretty”, sophisticated, and “eleganza.” If you are after a coffee with refined and complex fruit and floral notes that celebrate all that is special about coveted coffee varieties grown in the Huila growing region, this coffee is for you. We highly recommend snagging a bag today while supplies last!
Farm Level Info. Introducing the next generation of coffee farmers! At just 27 and 26 years old, Nestor Lasso and his brother Adrian Lasso run their farm El Diviso (taking over from their grandfather and El Diviso founder, Jose Uribe Lasso, at just 22 and 21 years of age) in the notable coffee growing region of Huila, Colombia. They have gained global recognition for their innovations at the farm level; unique and rare coffee varieties; and experimental processing techniques. Known for their high quality specialty coffee lots, they have made a splash at the World Barista Championship and recently won first place in the Irish Brewers Cup. Their commitment to exceptional quality and sustainable growing practices has turned them into one of Colombia’s specialty coffee powerhouses and all of their hard work can be tasted in this beautiful cup of coffee.
Unparalleled quality, a human story, and sustainability – that’s our coffee philosophy.
- Unparalleled quality. We won’t buy a coffee unless we know that it will inspire you.
- A human story. Often times a producer’s story gets lost in the coffee supply chain. It’s our focus to provide a seed to cup experience, honoring everyone involved.
- Sustainability. We purchase sustainable coffees directly from producers and through brokers who share our goal of making coffee a sustainable commodity. Financially and environmentally, the coffees we purchase seek balance.
