New! Deysi Manayay Tocto Peru: A female-produced coffee

New coffee drop! Our new Deysi Manayay Tocto Peru is what we call an easy sipper with tasting notes of peach, almond butter, milk chocolate orange, and orange blossom. One of our cuppers called this female-produced coffee super accessible and welcoming and we completely agree. It’s sweet, smooth, floral and perfect for your everyday coffee drinking needs. We highly recommend snagging a bag today.

Female-Produced Coffee. This coffee comes from producer Deysi Manayay Tocto and her farm located in the mountainous region of Cajamarca, Peru. Deysi is a member of the PAWQARA co-op, a community of friends, neighbors, and families who banded together in 2022 to create top quality coffee lots in order to garner better compensation for producers and improve traceability. Tired of expending great care to produce notable coffee and then witnessing their single variety lots disappear into regional blends at local co-ops, PAWQARA founders envisioned a powerful group led by women that is focused on unique, traceable coffees and sustainability. PAWQARA: Mujeres Fuertes y Resilientes (PAWQARA: strong and resilient women) has since grown in the last couple of years to nearly reach its goal of producing 3 full containers of high quality coffee lots each harvest.

Unparalleled quality, a human story, and sustainability – that’s our coffee philosophy.

  • Unparalleled quality. We won’t buy a coffee unless we know that it will inspire you.
  • A human story. Often times a producer’s story gets lost in the coffee supply chain. It’s our focus to provide a seed to cup experience, honoring everyone involved.
  • Sustainability. We purchase sustainable coffees directly from producers and through brokers who share our goal of making coffee a sustainable commodity. Financially and environmentally, the coffees we purchase seek balance.
