JBC Coffee Roasters (Madison, WI) is honored to announce that we are a 2025 Good Food Awards finalist with our coffee: Las Margaritas Sudan Rume. The Good Food Awards is an annual competition recognizing outstanding American craft food producers. This special Community Choice edition of the Good Food Awards honors past winners that continue to set the standard for taste, craftsmanship and responsible production. For the first time ever, the good food loving public had a say, submitting over 8,000 ballots to support their favorite producers. “Spanning coast to coast and across 18 categories, our finalists reflect the diversity and depth of the good food movement. These beloved favorites have left a lasting legacy, one that continues to shape how we think about and enjoy food today,” says the Good Food Foundation. This is the 7th time that JBC Coffee Roasters has been named a finalist. Winners will be announced on June 28 at the Good Food Mercantile in New York City—stay tuned.
About the coffee. Our Las Margaritas Sudan Rume is a direct trade coffee from the highly esteemed Café Granja La Esperanza – suppliers of rare, specialty coffees from Colombia-and their farm Las Margaritas. Cafe Granja La Esperanza has won numerous awards and are leaders in innovation in coffee processing, sustainability, and agronomy. This particular lot is a Sudan Rume- an exceptionally rare, wild coffee variety hailing from South Sudan’s Boma Plateau. This coffee will be released again at jbccoffeeroasters.com this June.
