A Pink Bourbon from our friends at Cafe Granja La Esperanza! Introducing our Potosi Pink Bourbon natural. The Pink Bourbon coffee variety is all the rage lately (for good reason) and when you couple this coveted variety with natural processing and the esteemed growing practices/terroir of Cafe Granja La Esperanza, you get a little cup of magic. Our cupping notes revealed a bunch of exclamation points as we exclaimed yum! nice! so elegant! We called this coffee champagne-like, sweet tart and juicy with so many pink and red jammy fruit notes. We tasted watermelon, strawberry, hibiscus, and red apple.
Coffee Processing Info. This coffee is a natural process coffee; meaning that rather than depulping and washing away the fruit of the coffee cherry before drying, the coffee seed (bean) is actually dried inside of the coffee cherry. This creates a natural fermentation environment for the coffee and can produce very intense fruit and floral notes as a result. When you couple this processing style with the Pink Bourbon variety (a variety known for its intense floral notes and sweetness due to a higher glucose content), the result is an ultra sweet and fruity cup.
